Multi damage analysis

Images show analysis from the storm "Hans" where approximately 2.5 million cubic meters of forest was felled in the north of Sweden during the fall of 2023.

Storm felled trees

Quick damage assessments after storm fellings are crucial to effectively manage forest recovery and minimize economic losses.

Conifer Vision storm felled trees analysis benefits customers by enabling rapid and cost-effective mapping, automatic detection and quantification of trees on the ground. We outperform traditional aircraft monitoring with helicopters or aeroplanes.

Results provide a cost-effective tool for identifying storm damages over large areas, prioritizing salvage activities and making informed decisions about forest management measures to reduce risks for both people on the ground and the forest itself.

Collaborate with us!

Our advanced AI technology can provide efficient monitoring of forest damages, ensuring long-term forest health and sustainability. We therefore aim to build a comprihensive multi-damage analysis services to spot and monitor the most critical and common damages that affect forests, people and environment.

Solving this is best done together with others so therefore were looking for collaborations with forest companies and entrepreneurs, researchers or forest owners who let us use your forests for testing and field verifications. Please reach out to us if you are interested in some of the following areas:

  • Fungal infestations
  • Diseases
  • Spruce bark beetle infestations
  • Human or vehicular impacts
  • Fire incidents

How It Works

Drones collect forest images using high-resolution cameras. Then, all images are uploaded to our online AI service, where analysis is performed under our supervision.

Images and analysis results are displayed in our online application as well as distributed to any customer forest management system, GIS system or online forest plan management system.

Drones can be flown by customers themselves or by professional pilots. A skilled pilot can cover up to 500 hectares per day with a high-resolution flying pattern, giving our solutions great coverage of large forest areas.
